The ability to use language productively occurs in several ways. Speaking is perhaps the most prominent form of productive language since it encompasses a student's ability to articulate words and phrases, construct coherent sentences, and engage in communication. At the same time, writing involves the expression of language in written form, requiring a student to have mastery of grammar, punctuation, and syntax to convey accurate meaning. Moreover, productive language includes non-verbal communication like gestures, facial expressions, and body language, conveying emotions and intentions without spoken or written words. Therefore, when a student displays proficiency in using a language to express themselves, they have strong productive language skills.

To make writing and speaking more communicative and engaging, teachers can employ several effective strategies. Firstly, integrating authentic tasks and real-world contexts into writing assignments can enhance relevance and motivation (Swain, 2005). For instance, asking students to write persuasive letters to local officials about community issues connects classroom learning to practical skills. Additionally, providing opportunities for collaborative writing and speaking activities promotes interaction and fosters language development (Vygotsky, 1978). Peer feedback sessions, where students critique each other's work constructively, not only improve writing quality but also encourage active participation and reflection (Hattie & Timperley, 2007). Furthermore, incorporating multimedia tools such as podcasts, digital storytelling, or video presentations allows students to express themselves creatively and diversify their communication skills (Kress, 2003). By creating a supportive environment that values student voice and choice, teachers can effectively cultivate communicative competence and engagement in both writing and speaking tasks (Cummins, 2000).

As a teacher, I would integrate a diverse range of writing and speaking activities into the curriculum to enhance the development of communication subskills. For instance, I would assign regular journaling tasks to foster self-expression and reflection, while essay writing projects would help students develop critical thinking and organizational skills. Creative writing exercises, such as storytelling or poetry, would encourage imaginative use of language. In speaking activities, I would organize public speaking sessions to build confidence and clarity, debates to sharpen logical reasoning and quick thinking, and group discussions to promote active listening and collaboration. Additionally, combining written reports with oral presentations would provide students with opportunities to research, organize, and present their ideas effectively, ensuring a holistic approach to developing proficient communication skills.

Yudi, the way you present the information is very clear and well organized. I need to make the point that for question 1 the decided to focus on vocabulary and grammar. You called them subskills, but teacher Gonzalo and I made a comment about it. So, in that sense you need to be more concrete on the two components that you stablished in the question.
Regardign question 2, I believe that you did an excellent job specifiying the usefulness of each of the ativities you present. As for your sources, make sure they have direct relation with the topic.
